Gender Affirmation Process
This extensive document begins with a description of gender echoing that found in either the Gender Unicorn or the Genderbread Person. It describes sex assigned (rather than observed) as being completely separate dimension from gender identity and gender expression.
The 21 page document includes advice for managers, templates for developing a gender affirmation plan in the workplace, an action plan to facilitate meetings and leave arrangements, plan to update records, and inform other staff of new arrangements for using single-sex facilities.
Inclusive Language Guide
On page 3 of 51, the guide states “Sex and gender is a complex topic, particularly if we try to define or label it“. This statement indicates an unwillingness to grapple with complex topics, and to interrogate what makes them important and complex.
